Hi Friends,

I said in my last Pupdate that April was going toΒ be a busy month. It started with mom & dad going to Cabo, IΒ went to sitter Robin. He’s a teacher, and I spent my days in the classroom with little ones.Β ThisΒ was my first exposure to being around kids, RobinΒ said I became an expert listener when they read to me.

Another new experience for me was going camping, and I had funΒ especiallyΒ because PADS Chantilly lives with Robin & Karen, and we would play and then share a bed, as we got alongΒ great.

AwesomeΒ news, as IΒ was scheduledΒ to go to advanced training on MayΒ 6th,Β Β however, I get to stay with mom & dad for a few more months, and we’re all sooo happy. Mom says we need to work onΒ someΒ thingsΒ likeΒ not getting too excited or distracted around other dogs.

Dad’s family from back east came to visit, there was a big get-together, and I didn’t go, so I spent the night with my sitter, Marcia. Marcia took me toΒ SasamatΒ where we metΒ upΒ with some other PADS dogs. PADS Waffle & I hadΒ a really goodΒ play.

Dad’s sister and her kidsΒ whoΒ are 15 &Β 17Β stayed with us, and mom explained how they had to be with meΒ andΒ they were good, and Noah loved playing tug with me. I tried stealing their socks, butΒ they caught onto that pretty fast. We went to the mall, the kids wanted to shop, they thought it was pretty cool I got to go with them.Β

Mom took me to RockyΒ PointΒ where there was a Dragon Boat Festival, itΒ wasΒ crazyΒ down there, withΒ 40Β teams,Β andΒ lots of people watching, weΒ weren’t quite prepared for itΒ soΒ we didn’t stay long.Β

WeΒ kept up withΒ our training at pet stores and mallsΒ andΒ weΒ met with PADS Captain for a walk around Como Lake.Β Mom took me to a park near our house where part of it is off leashΒ soΒ I get to runΒ andΒ then I walk on leash through the forest, momΒ says it’s good training for me, sheΒ practices my recall and my loose leash walking.

May is going to be another busy month, momΒ & dad didn’t think IΒ was going toΒ be with them, soΒ I will be going to a sitter a couple of times. I’m good with that, as I always have fun at sitters.

Looking forward to May,

Maia
