Hi,

I don’t know about you, but the months are flying by, and spring will be here soon.

The fun never ends around here, always going on new adventures. I had a meet-up at a mall with 4 of my sisters; I was so excited to see them; we did training, then our raisers switched dogs, and we settled under their chairs while they had coffee and chatted. It was awesome spending time with my sistas; we looked pretty spectacular together.

We met up with a few PADS friends for training walks; we also met with a group for distraction training; two of my sisters were there.

I’ve been to the doctor with Mom and joined her & her girlfriends for lunch, well not really joined them; I had to stay under the table.

We had a class at IKEA that was cool; we walked through the displays, went under desks and beds, and walked on different surfaces; it’s a great place to train.

My cousin Clark, aka Jurassic Clark, stayed one night with us; we had a ton of fun. Mom says we always seem to have another dog around, and I like it. Mom says she prefers to be a one-dog house; fair enough, she’s the one that has to clean up after us.

I went on a puppy swap and spent a week in Vancouver with raiser Gwen while mom & dad had Puzzle. I had different adventures; it was a good experience for all of us. I didn’t want to be gone too long and have them forget about me. I saw a picture of Puzzle on my bed in the yoga studio; he looked pretty comfy and got to go to the cabin!! Mom and Dad assured me they missed me; all is good now.

I went for something called a GDBart, that stands for Guide Dog Behavioral Response Assessment Test, quite a mouthful hey. It’s not really a test, it’s where they look at our personality and see how we are with noises, surfaces, people dressed in weird clothing, other dogs, etc. Mom got my assessment back and said I did really good, phew!

Mom says I have to start preparing for my practice public access test, so off we went to Pet Smart; I’ve said it before, there are so many smells, other dogs, bags of food, toys, fish, hamsters, it sure doesn’t make it easy, I have a feeling we’ll be doing this a lot more the next couple months.

I think I’ve covered the highlights for February.

Till the next pupdate, be good, have fun.

Maia
