January was an activity-filled month for Odin. His most memorable experiences were:

1) a five day ferry/car trip to Vancouver Island to visit in Chemainus and Port Alberni. Odin especially enjoyed meeting up with his friend, Jet, a young flat coated retriever. They were thrilled to have four play dates while Odin was in Port Alberni. Rain and shine, the dogs got lots of early morning exercise on the trails of Tara Christmas Tree Farm.
2) Odin’s first Birthday celebration included a fabulous walk and training session on the dyke in Pitt Meadows. The fresh air, sunny skies, many smells and sounds all contributed to an ideal opportunity to train with multiple distractions. We are currently working hard on inside and outside turns, recall, heel and side.
3) a trip to Canada Place Convention Centre in Vancouver via car and Canada Line. Odin attended Missions Fest 2015 along with over two thousand people. Odin’s model behaviour was very impressive as he walked amidst the crowds of people. He had lots of opportunity to practice his calm greeting behaviour as many asked if they could “pet the puppy”.
