IMG_1257 smlThe beaches at Sproat Lake on Vancouver Island, Horseshoe Bay, Gibsons and the Fraser River have been favourite places for Odin to cool off during the hot days of July.Β  He eagerly gets his feet wet and demonstrates confident swimming ability as he ventures out for a refreshing doggie paddle.Β Β  Odin also loves to drink water from the sprinkler wand and there has been lots of opportunity for this with water restrictions and hand watering only.

At 18 months, Odin is practicing his obedience cues ‘from a distance’ and ‘with distractions’.Β  It is still quite challenging to focus when there are dogs, people or interesting activities happening around him.Β  On the other hand, it is very exciting to observe his consistently model behaviour doing a number of things including riding ferries, attending Sunday morning church, mall shopping, playing puppy games and sleeping in the sunshine!Β  Keep up the great work, Odin!
