Summer mode was fully activated in July!  Canada Day was filled with activities as we spent time at Granville Island, went for a forest romp with friends, then out for a late lunch and pup cups.  I think the pup cups made up for wearing the Canada Day headband!  We also spent some time on Bowen Island and did an awesome hike, which ended at a lake.  Olé and his Bowen squad needed no coaxing to jump in.  It looked so refreshing that his humans also went for a swim.  This is when I fully understood how much Olé likes to swim… with people!

The weather beckoned for more outdoor activities, so we headed to the trails and Spanish Banks – the best dog beach in the city when the tide is out!  Water was our theme in July, so we headed out to Hayward Lake to go paddleboarding.  Olé isn’t an expert yet, but neither am I.

Olé also got to play at the Photo Booth at a Pads BBQ, and he had a chance to snuggle one last time with Pads Waffle before he departed for his Client!

The month ended with a Football game at BC Place, which Olé nailed. This will be my last update entry for Olé as he heads to Advanced Training in August!!!  The trainers will provide updates about how he’s doing as they and Olé determine the next path on his Journey.  He’s a very special dog to me, and he will undoubtedly, positively impact someone’s life, as he did mine. He’s embedded in my heart, and I’m looking forward to hearing how he’s progressing in Advanced Training.  You’re well loved, Olé – go get ’em!
