The days were not quite as long, and the nights were just a little cooler, but that didn’t stop Olé and I from going on adventures and training. We trained with other raisers and dogs and worked on one of Olé’s biggest distractions…other dogs!
We also adventured over to Bowen Island, and Olé had to share his space with another dog for a few days! Olé went to his first play at the Art’s Club and slept through the Jersey Boys! Not because it was boring, but because he was a good boy!
We stayed on the theme later in September and again worked on dog distraction and crowds when we visited the Dragon Boat races. Olé then showed off his bravery as we visited the spooky displays at Home Depot. We wrapped up the month by participating in the Intergenerational March at UBC to recognize Truth and Reconciliation. Olé particularly liked this event as he had the opportunity to practice and perfect his ‘go say hi’ cue. He loves it and is great at it!
All in all, it was a great month balanced with training, developing, and adventuring!
