Reese at 9 weeks

Hi Everyone

My name is Reese, and I’m told that I was born into Clove and Pride’s Hallowe’en Treats Litter, so my brothers and sisters and I were all named after human candy!  There’s Skittle, Pixie, Mars, Rolo, Jolly, Twix, Dove, and me – Reese.  I get called “Reese’s Pieces” sometimes…or even “Reese-a-Roni”.  I come running to anything, though, because I REALLY like treats!

Many people think I’m a boy dog.  I don’t know why; maybe because I’m a black Lab, like my dad, Pride.  Some days I think I should wear a pink ribbon on the top of my head.

I’m not sure what I want to do in life yet.  Somedays I think I would be a good winter boot – it’s fun to curl up and nap in the boot tray.  Or maybe a door stop – I fit really well across the bottom of a door and could keep all the drafts out.   I could be a really cool garden ornament, too.

My uncles had a word with me at Christmas, though, and explained that I am destined to be an Assistance Dog.  My uncles are Yellow Labs, and look like my mom, Clove.  There’s Uncle Xavier, Uncle Linus and Uncle Matcha.  I live with Uncle Linus.  I am going to take their advice and work REALLY HARD to become the best Assistance Dog I can!
