Hi everyone! This is my first Pupdate for PADS! I just arrived from Can Do Canines, an ADI Assistance Dog School in New Hope, Minnesota. My mom’s name is Harper – you can see her on the right in this Christmas picture from last year. She is a beautiful black Lab – I think I look a LOT like her! I had to wait until I turned 4 months old before I could come to Canada. Can you hear my Minnesota accent?
I have a really great name, too. Did you know that “Sassenach” is the Scottish-Gaelic word for “Saxon”? It means someone who hails from England. I’m every bit as sassy as Claire Fraser, called “Sassenach”, in the popular “Outlander” series, by Diana Gabaldon. Before I left Can Do Canines, the Raisers there were calling me Squirt, or Sax for short.
I already know how to ring a bell to let people know I need to go outdoors. And I know how to hold still for a picture, as you can see. We didn’t REALLY have a lot of snow in Calgary yet, but this little bit quite shows off my perky Focus, don’t you think?
I am looking forward to meeting ALL the other PADS dogs in puppy classes!
