Slick transitioned to a larger kennel this month as he’s becoming very long and leggy. I think he likes the extra space to stretch his limbs. On one occasion, he was more enthusiastic than usual about getting in his kennel. The reason for his enthusiasm became clear when Neo the cat, who was investigating the space, shot out of the kennel as Slick was entering. Slick was likely thinking that Neo was going to join him for a sleepover! Slick also got a big dog bed of his own, which he loves lounging around on.
The weather was so beautiful that we decided to take a day trip to Kananaskis. Slick enjoyed a picnic lunch with a view and spent some time along the shores of Barrier Lake. He dipped his paws in the lake and didn’t seem at all concerned with the chilly water temperature.
