Hey Everyone – it’s PADS Puppy Spark here!

So is it just me or is this summer passing by way too quickly? I mean, there is only a few weeks of summer left and I still have so much to do. This doesn’t mean that I haven’t been busy – ’cause I have. You see, my hooman sits in front of his magic screen every Thursday evening and on Friday morning he is full of new ideas about what we can do to fill the days (other than eating and sleeping!).

Recently, we’ve been spending 30 minutes or so every morning in the Terry Fox Plaza down the street, working on our “drills and cues”. I’m not even sure what he means when he says that, all I know is that there is a lot of sits, downs, waits, stands, jump ups, let’s go’s, this ways, and all sorts of other things. I get treats every time – just for doing what I want to do anyway! IT’S FANTASTIC!

We did change it up recently and tried the same routine on the grassy area down by False Creek, but there too many other things in the grass that kept distracting me – like goose droppings, sticks, leaves, and smells. So now we have to work on doing that slowly, even though I don’t like “slow”.

I’ve had some great outings with Auntie Yin and we even did a trip to a dog park. Β I didn’t like that very much, so I wouldn’t care if we don’t do that again! Oh – and it was my birthday on July 5 – I’m one year old now.
