For most of December, I’ve been staying with a sitter for a so-called vacation, but this was NOT so relaxing after all. First off, I found out that I had not one, but two roommates! One of whom was a human and the other was another PADS dog. But don’t worry, we all quickly became friends, and I spent a lot of time watching and learning from PADS Tio. It is hard enough in puppy class when we have to ignore the other dogs, but it turns out that it’s also super hard to hear a human say all of your cues to someone else and be expected to not do them!Β
We looked at so many lights, slept a ton and had lots of plays. I got to play with PADS Taj, PADS Poppy, and PADS Cleat (my dad) and went to a suspension bridge with my half-sis PADS Parker. I was always faster than everyone else, so if I was ever a little nervous or was feeling sneaky, I could grab a toy, zoom away and never be caught.Β
Eventually, Tio left and I had a week of peace and quiet with my sitters, but that calm didn’t last for long… Suddenly, this small fluffy puppy appeared and I was being called “Uncle Thresher”. Apparently, my half-sister Nat had puppies, and 8-week-old Casper would be filing in as my new roommate. He was pretty fun, but since he’s a baby he has a lot to learn. We spent Christmas playing tug with a gingerbread toy, cuddling and napping. I think I’m ready for a break from all this puppy chaos, but I’m happy to have made so many more friends and to have done so much training!
