VIMY II has had a bit of an adjustment period over the past few weeks as his old training buddies Hector and Mocha moved on to start their service careers. His bond to Mocha and Hector made the transition to new training buddies confusing. The transition was hard for him at first but after a few days he warmed up to his new roomies Dax and Daegan and is enjoying making new friends! Vimy continues to progress with his retrieve skills and is working on transferring his skills to different environments and to various handlers.
- Skills being learned: Transferring skills like retrieve to different environments with different levels of distraction.
- Recent field trips: Local library and off-leash dog park, Downtown Nanaimo, various additional training field trips.
