ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER

The primary goal of this fundraiser is to raise sufficient funds to sponsor and name a litter of puppies. In addition to raising funds, PADS aims to increase awareness about the critical need for service dogs and the profound impact these dogs have on the lives of their clients and the broader community they serve. PADS is also committed to supporting assistance dog users and individuals with disabilities by addressing and breaking down accessibility challenges.

This dual focus on both fundraising and education is central to the organization’s goal of changing lives, one dog and one person at a time.

PADS staff and volunteers will collaborate with local businesses, schools, churches, and community groups in Powell River and the qathet Region to host events and activities that engage, inspire, and educate the community.

Kickstarting the campaign is a Beer and Burger Fundraiser at the Forest Bistro (Date TBD – Register using the form below to be notified). The evening will feature live music, a silent auction, and a special appearance by Powell River’s very own PADS dogs. Stay tuned for more information.
