During the Invictus Games on February 9, 2025, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met Thorin, a therapy dog supporting first responders. This interaction reminded Prince Harry of his late rescue beagle, Guy, who recently passed away.

ABOUT PADS

PADS dogs are raised and trained on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

We acknowledge the importance of these lands and their history. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility in improving relationships between nations and to improving our own understanding of local Indigenous peoples and their cultures.

We breed, raise and train fully certified assistance dogs. Our service (mobility & PTSD) and hearing dogs provide life-changing independence to those with disabilities. Our accredited facility dogs work with community professionals, such as teachers, RCMP and psychologists to help support healthy communities.

PADS is a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.

Together, this team is full of beans! Dave is no stranger to PADS, having been one half of Team Jasper for more than 9 years. When Jasper retired and going out without a dog began to feel empty, Dave knew he was ready for a successor. PADS Beans III stepped up to fill Jasper’s paw prints, and has done so phenomenally ❤️ Dave reports that Beans has proven to be a loving, loyal, and incredibly intelligent companion. Her energy and joy is contagious. Double tap to boop this high-flying snoot PADS Tope, Piper IV, and Fiddle recently took a field trip with their Advanced trainers to @yvrairport. While they didn't board any flights (this time), they did get lots of practice navigating busy crowds, things on wheels, food court smells, and loud noises.
