PADS dogs are raised and trained on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Ktunaxa ɁamakɁis (Ktunaxa), Ĩyãħé Nakón mąkóce (Stoney), Niitsítpiis-stahkoii ᖹᐟᒧᐧᐨᑯᐧ ᓴᐦᖾᐟ (Blackfoot / Niitsítapi ᖹᐟᒧᐧᒣᑯ), Tsuut’ina & Michif Piyii (Métis) Nations, and the Syilx Okanagan People.

We acknowledge the importance of these lands and their history. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility in improving relationships between nations and to improving our own understanding of local Indigenous peoples and their cultures.

We breed, raise and train fully certified assistance dogs. Our service (mobility & PTSD) and hearing dogs provide life-changing independence to those with disabilities. Our accredited facility dogs work with community professionals, such as teachers, RCMP and psychologists to help support healthy communities.

PADS is a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.

A new litter has landed - everyone say hello to the Boeing Invictus Legacy Litter ✈️ Proud parents PADS Sawyer and PADS Steller welcomed sisters Elsie, Rosie, Seven, and Everett, and their brothers Eddie, Tank and Pilot. This litter sponsorship is a continuation of our partnership with the 2025 Invictus Games. We’re incredibly grateful to @Boeing for their generosity during the games and beyond. Thank you for naming and supporting these future superheroes. We can’t wait to witness the lives they’ll change. And thank you to Kaylie, PADS’ incredible Breeding and Medical Manager, for taking on the role of Breeder Caretaker for this litter.

Ticks are often found in heavily wooded areas, and may carry diseases. We recommend checking your dog after they've played in long grass and forested places. Meet Team Compass. They've been partners since March 2023, when Compass bounded through Fern's front door and changed her life. "Compass is not just my service dog—she is my lifeline." Recently, when Compass faced two unexpected surgeries, Fern accessed the PADS Emergency Vet Fund. This fund is available to PADS clients so that their canine lifelines can access the very best care, without the financial worry that can come with it. We're happy to report that Compass is recovering well from her surgeries. And now, Fern's hoping to pay it forward to other clients who may face the stress of their best friend needing care. Losing her hearing later in life was a deeply personal journey for Sarah-Kate, one marked by feelings of shame and the heavy weight of dependence. She often felt like a burden. That is, until PADS Tahsis bounded into her life and changed everything. Tahsis not only acts as Sarah-Kate’s ears, alerting her to sounds she’d otherwise miss; she also provides Sarah-Kate with life-changing independence. “With Tahsis, I no longer feel such a burden to those around me.” We’re so happy to see that Team Tahsis thriving.
