NEWS & STORIES
Sif’s Story
I confess I have another reason for always scrolling through the PADS photos; my son Riley suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury when he was 17, (about 7 years ago), and is now permanently in a wheelchair. This motivated me even more to want to meet Sif.
Meeting Our BC Notaries
We presented on how to work sensitively within diversity – understanding how to engage with clients with disabilities in respectful ways, basic assistance dog etiquette and recent changes to the BC Guide an Service Dog Act.
SPRING ON CAMPUS
As the daffodils come up around the campus, puppies are a’plenty, advanced dogs are enjoying field trips and intensive training, puppy classes have moved into open air, and dogs are moving into life-changing roles.
PADS is more than 90% volunteer-driven
We thrive off the passion of the people who have decided to join the PADS Family.
PADS currently runs volunteer programs in the BC Lower Mainland & Okanagan as well as in Calgary, AB., and is a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.
